THREE FEET FROM GOLD.......................

                            One of the most common cause of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat . Every person is guilty of this mistake at one time or another.
    An uncle of R . U. Darby was caught by the "gold fever" in the gold-rush days , and went west to DIG AND GROW RICH.He stacked a claim and went to work with pick & shovel. The going was hard , but his lust for gold was definite.

    After weeks of labor, he was rewarded by discovery of shinning ore . He needed machinery to bring the ore to the surface .Quietly he covered up the mine, retraced his footsteps to his home Williams burg, Maryland, told his relatives & a few neighbors of the "strike". They got together money for for the needed machinery, had it shipped. The uncle & Darby went back to work the mine.
    The first car of ore was mined , and shipped to a smelter. The returns proved they had one of the richest mines in Colorado! A few more cars of that ore would clear the debts. Then would come the big killing in profits.
    Down went the drills! up went the hopes of Darby and Uncle ! Then something happened! The vein of gold ore disappeared! They had come to the end of the rainbow , and the pot of gold was no longer there! They drilled on, desperately trying to pick up the vein again ------ all to no avail.
     Finally, they decided to QUIT.
    They sold the machinery to a junk man to a few hundred dollars, and took the train back home. Some "junk" men are dumb,but not this one ! he called in a mining engineer to look at the mine and do a little calculating. The engineer advised that the project had failed, because the owners were not familiar with "fault lines". His calculations showed that the vein would be found  JUST THREE FEET FROM WHERE THE DARBYS HAD STOPPED DRILLING! That is exactly where it was found !
     The "junk" man took millions of dollars in ore from the mine, because he knew enough to seek expert counsel before giving up.

The man who thought his way to 'Thomas Edison'...........

 A little more than thirty years ago Edwin C. Barnes discovered how true it is  that men really do THINK AND GROW RICH . His discovery did not come about at one sitting. It came little by little , beginning with a BURNING DESIRE to become a business associate of the great Edison.
When this DESIRE , or impulse of thought , first flashed into his mind he was in no position to act upon it. Two difficulties stood in his way. He did not have enough money to pay his railroad fare to Orange, New Jersey.

These difficulties were more than enough to discourage majority of men, but not him .
He presented himself at Mr. Edison's laboratory, and announced he had come to go into business with inventor. In speaking of first meeting between Barnes And Edison, years later , Mr. Edison said, "He stood there before me, looking like an ordinary tramp, but there was something in the expression of his face Which conveyed the impression that he was determined to get what he had come after. "
Barnes did not get his partnership with Edison on his first interview. He did get a chance to work in the Edison's offices,at a very normal wage,doing work that was unimportant to Edison , But most important to Barnes, Because it gave him an Opportunity to display his "merchandise" where his intended "partner" could see it.
    Months went by . Apparently nothing happened to bring the coveted goal which Barnes has set up in his mind as his DEFINITE MAJOR PURPOSE . But something important was happening in Barnes mind. He was constantly intensifying his DESIRE to become the business  associates of Edison .
    He did not say to himself ,"Ah well whats the use? I guess I'll change my mind and try for a salesman's job."
When the opportunity came, it appeared in a different form , & from a different direction than Barnes had expected. That is one of the tricks of opportunity . It has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door , and often it comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat. Perhaps this is why so many fail to recognize opportunity.
Mr. Edison had just perfected a new office device , known ast that time ,as the Edison Dictating Machine (Ediphone). His salesman were not enthusiastic over the machine. They did not believe it could be sold without great effort . Barnes saw his opportunity .It had crawled in quietly , hidden in a uglly looking machine which interested no one but Barnes and the inventor.
    Barnes knew that he could sell the Edi-phones . He suggested this to Edison, and promptly got his chance . He did not just sell the machine . In fact, he sold it so successfully that Edison gave him a contract to distribute and market it all over the nation . Out of that business association grew a slogan, "Made by Edison & installed by Barnes."
    The business alliance has been in operation for more than thirty years. Out of it Barnes made himself very rich in money.

It was great just watching you, every day was like a privilege. Then the time come for you to be your own man and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you’re no good. And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow.

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!

I’m always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You’re my son and you’re my blood. You’re the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, ya ain’t gonna have a life. Don’t forget to visit your mother.

How to Focus(concentrate) ?

                                 Focus or concentration is a very tricky skill. At some point in his/her life every person ask the question above. I myself searched the answer of this question everywhere possible to me. But I have never found A practical way to focus in this 21st century until few months back. This 3 step method to focus which I am about to explain is BY SANDEEP MAHESHWARI  in his video ILLUSION TO REALITY. It is his work & I am just Sharing it. I am not taking any credit for it .

Commitment:

Before I explain the method I am going to make a promise to you. If you read this carefully ,which you will ,I know. & if you understand What I am saying I can guaranty you with 100% certainty that YOU WILL NEVER EVER HAVE PROBLEM REGARDING FOCUS. & this is not a joke this is my promise If you do not benefit from this article just discuss it with me & if you still think that it is bullshit , then I will apologize to you. I can say that with this confidence because I am using it Since past  3 months and it works as a charm.

SO , let's get started:

               We all want to be successful . And we all know that to be successful we must focus on what we are doing . We all know that . But FOCUS IS A SKILL . you have to learn 'how to focus' before you actually focus. It is like sharpening your sword before going to war.

The solution is very simple .it can be stated in 3 steps.

step 1 : Why am I focusing?

Humans think, that's what separate us from Animals. To do a task Your Brain need an Image of why you are doing it ? so before doing a task tell yourself, why you are doing it? And how much you need it ? And mean it . Remember It is not a ritual, you should actually feel what you are tell yourself .

step2: Where to focus?

Now to tell you the importance of this step I am going to tell you a Fascinating story. Story of  'KAROLY TAKACS' a Hungarian pistol shooter and a soldier in Hungarian army. 

Karoly  was born in Budapest and joined the Hungarian Army. By 1936, he was a world-class pistol shooter, but he was denied a place in the Hungarian shooting team for the 1936 Summer Olympics on the grounds that he was a sergeant, and only commissioned officers were allowed to compete. This prohibition was lifted in Hungary after the Berlin Games, and Karoly had expectations of success at the 1940 Summer Olympics, scheduled to be held in Tokyo. 

But, as John Lennon said "Life is what happens to you,while you are busy making other plans."

During army training in 1938, A faulty grenade exploded in his Right hand, in his best hand, in his shooting hand. he lost his hand. For 99.99% of people, that is the end of Career, & a start of miserable life. But Karoly was not one of them . he carefully analysed the situation. he made a decision of continuing his shooting career, and switched to shooting with his left hand. He focused on his strength, he focused on his present . He focused on his weaker hand . he practiced in secrete for 1 year & he participated in 1939 National shooting championship. 

All his competitors were Shooting with their best hand. But Karoly was shooting with his only hand. 

& guess who won 'MAN WITH ONLY HAND'. 

But he didn't stop there because his aim was clear .He focused on making his Left hand 'the best shooting hand' of the world. But The Olympic Games scheduled for 1940 and 1944 were cancelled due to the Second World War. But Karoly didn't stop he kept practicing and at the age  of 38 he stunned the entire world by winning an Olympic gold medal in 1948. he regain his title in 1952 Olympic by winning second gold medal of his career.

                 So the moral of the story is that  'where to focus on is very important' .FOR EXAMPLE If you are a student & you are not getting good score in exam you should analyse your exact problem . That means if you have problem  in understanding the concepts in your course then you should Focus on understanding the contents by taking extra classes/ refering  to diffrent books / searching the net. On the other hand If you have problem in remembering the contents then you should learn a book or two about memory. 

If  we systematically focus on 1 goal , Then history has taught us that miracles happen.   

Step 3 : How to focus?

Now here comes the devil . the ultimate question. but you will be surprised to know the  answer of the question . I was shocked when sandeep maheswari told this thing in his video . because prior to that i thought may be there is no answer to that question . But thanks to him now i know.

Sandeep admits that ,The Answer came from an Interview of tiger woods. Tiger Woods was asked that  "In a game like golf where you have so much pressure on, how do you focus ?"    

Tiger woods replied ," well, when I am taking a shot . I look at ball ,then I look at the hole ,i look at the ball ,then i look at the hole . & unless a crystal clear movie of that ball going in that hole forms in my mind"

Now I want you to think about What Tiger Woods Said.  what does making a crystal clear movie in mind means ?

Its very simple , I am going to give you an example from your life. Did it happens to you that, you have seen something or learned something new. And with full of excitement  you said " Wow, that is so cool. i wanna do that ." Now when that feeling came from hart , And you have that killer confidence that, I don't care about the world but I am 100% certain  that I am doing it.  then even if you have 100000 distractions around you , your mind automatically concentrate. so basically you have to generate that kind of mental environment around you . 

So, how can you do that, Well like Tiger Woods said you have to make a crystal clear movie of doing the task in your mind.

& here is how I do it ' I always have my favorite music clip 'Pirates of Carebian theme music ' with me in my phone & in my laptop. It really inspires me. So whenever i have to start doing something new & important ,First of all I start listening to that music In loop again and again . & while listening to that music I start to imagine in my mind that I am Doing the task in question with lot of excitement And Fun , & then I have completed the task & I Am celebrating. Whenever I do that After some time A burning Desire comes from my heart that I am going to do it with Loads of fun and excellence . how much time the process will take depends upon the person & the task . It could be 5 min, 1 day or 1 week . All you have to do it that play the song that inspires you & Imagine what i told above. '

 The exercise above is based on the principle of autosuggestion in psychology. So it always work.

So if someone like me can do it . you definitely will.  

     

                    

Why Do I Live?

                           Why do we live? In past I have asked this question many times to myself. every religion gives almost same answer to the question . but to be honest I am not very religious person .Fortunately I found the answer to that question,Unfortunately in a very tragic way. I want to share this experience with everyone.

It was an evening of 14th July 2013 ,  my neighbor came from the market ,he kept his bicycle away and he was talking to me about this new jeans he bought. He was 10 to 12 years older than me so he and I were not really BFFs ,but i liked that guy. So after a 10 min. chat he was gone to his house and i was gone to mine

I spent my night by readin a novel on my pc ,And another day was gone.

Next day July 15th 2013 at 8.45 am my father woke me up by almost shouting madly "wake up, wake up". It was very odd behavior by my father so I woke up at that instant and asked him what happen so he told me that our neighbor had an accident in front of the school this morning. so i rushed towards the school . i found a very big group of people surrounding something . I made my way  towards the center and saw his face smashed like scrambled eggs.  because he came under a loaded truck. An unfortunate accident. I mean yesterday this man was talking to me about his new jeans & now he is dead . I learned the dictionary meaning of the word shock that day.

That was the first time actually i saw human brain. when the ambulance came i saw paramedics collecting pieces of his brain in a plastic bag . One of his eye was missing . It was a very disturbing seen for me because i havnt seen  something like that before.

That incident made me think. It was not my first experience about someone dieing, but prior to that i never had thought about my death. So these thoughts kept me up all night .i was thinking about my death and it suddenly hit me. A picture came to my mind of me lying on a deathbed . And I asked myself if I die today  how  would  I  describe the journey of my life in one word? And answer to that question came from my heart,  the word was BULLSHIT .

That day I made A commitment to myself. The day i will actually die And i will ask the same question to myself  again. I will have satisfaction in my heart and a only one word to describe my life Awesome .

That is the purpose of my life . that is why i live........................
